Alena holds a Master of Social Work from University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology.

Alena has been working in youth services for five years, focusing on work in elementary schools and young adult homelessness.

She is a licensed social worker and has recently begun her career in mental health services. As a child matures, they will experience many changes. Her goal is to create a unique plan that provides a solid foundation from which they can enjoy their journey as they learn, grow, and become who they want to be.

Alena provides a person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to therapy and support. She meets people where they are at so they can heal and grow at their own pace (with gentle encouragement).

As someone who openly identifies as trans, Alena is passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ youth in their journey to live their true selves. She understands there are many barriers in our community and strives to advocate for the future pillars of our community in overcoming these obstacles. They believe in the power of storytelling and narratives to find strength in our experiences and empower others to do the same.

She lives in Bolingbrook with her wife and cat and enjoys playing video games, cooking with her wife, and taking long naps.
